Beginning to learn a language and making progress in it is generally not achieved merely by memorizing many words. It comes from understanding the fundamental structure of the language. Verbs are at the heart of that structure. Although Turkish has an enormous vocabulary, everyday life revolves to a great extent around a particular group of essential verbs. Once you understand these core verbs properly, the other parts of the language gradually begin to fall into place.

This book was prepared to help you avoid getting lost in complicated grammar explanations and reach the heart of communication directly. The 100 essential verbs selected here are more than a list of words: they form a practical learning system, supported by example sentences at different levels. This approach can help you understand much of everyday conversation more easily and express yourself with greater confidence.

Learning a language, however, is not simply about memorizing words. It is also about approaching the way people think in that language and learning how meaning is constructed. This book aims to give you not only new verbs but also a starting point for using Turkish with awareness and confidence.

إِنَّ بَدْءَ تَعَلُّمِ لُغَةٍ مَا وَالرُّقِيَّ فِيهَا لَا يَتَحَقَّقُ غَالِبًا بِكَثْرَةِ الْمُفْرَدَاتِ فَحَسْبُ، بَلْ بِالْفَهْمِ الصَّحِيحِ لِلْبِنْيَةِ الْأَسَاسِيَّةِ الَّتِي تَقُومُ عَلَيْهَا تِلْكَ اللُّغَةُ. وَتَقَعُ الْأَفْعَالُ فِي قَلْبِ هَذِهِ الْبِنْيَةِ؛ فَعَلَى الرَّغْمِ مِنْ وُجُودِ كَلِمَاتٍ لَا حَصْرَ لَهَا فِي اللُّغَةِ التُّرْكِيَّةِ، إِلَّا أَنَّ مَجْرَى الْحَيَاةِ الْيَوْمِيَّةِ يَتَشَكَّلُ بِشَكْلٍ كَبِيرٍ حَوْلَ أَفْعَالٍ أَسَاسِيَّةٍ مُحَدَّدَةٍ. وَعِنْدَمَا يَتِمُّ اسْتِيعَابُ هَذِهِ الْأَفْعَالِ الْجَوْهَرِيَّةِ بِشَكْلٍ صَحِيحٍ، تَبْدَأُ بَقِيَّةُ بِنْيَةِ اللُّغَةِ فِي الِاسْتِقْرَارِ تِلْقَائِيًّا مَعَ مُرُورِ الْوَقْتِ.

لَقَدْ أُعِدَّ هَذَا الْكِتَابُ الَّذِي بَيْنَ أَيْدِيكُمْ لِيَقِيَكُمْ مِنَ الضَّيَاعِ فِي تَعْقِيدَاتِ الشُّرُوحِ النَّحْوِيَّةِ، وَلِيَصِلَ بِكُمْ مُبَاشَرَةً إِلَى جَوْهَرِ التَّوَاصُلِ. إِنَّ «١٠٠ فِعْلٍ أَسَاسِيٍّ» الَّتِي تَمَّ اخْتِيَارُهَا لَيْسَتْ مُجَرَّدَ قَائِمَةِ كَلِمَاتٍ، بَلْ هِيَ نِظَامُ تَعَلُّمٍ قَائِمٌ عَلَى الِاسْتِخْدَامِ، وَمَدْعُومٌ بِجُمَلٍ نَمُوذَجِيَّةٍ فِي مُسْتَوَيَاتٍ مُخْتَلِفَةٍ. وَبِفَضْلِ هَذَا النَّهْجِ، سَيُمْكِنُكُمْ فَهْمُ جُزْءٍ كَبِيرٍ مِنَ الْمُحَادَثَاتِ الْيَوْمِيَّةِ بِسُهُولَةٍ أَكْبَرَ، وَالتَّعْبِيرُ عَنْ أَنْفُسِكُمْ بِرَاحَةٍ أَشَدَّ.

وَيَجِبُ أَلَّا نَنْسَى أَنَّ تَعَلُّمَ اللُّغَةِ لَيْسَ مُجَرَّدَ حِفْظٍ لِلْكَلِمَاتِ، بَلْ هُوَ اقْتِرَابٌ مِنْ طَرِيقَةِ التَّفْكِيرِ بِتِلْكَ اللُّغَةِ وَتَعَلُّمُ كَيْفِيَّةِ صِنَاعَةِ الْمَعْنَى بِهَا. هَذَا الْكِتَابُ لَنْ يَمْنَحَكُمْ أَفْعَالًا جَدِيدَةً فَحَسْبُ، بَلْ سَيُقَدِّمُ لَكُمْ نُقْطَةَ انْطِلَاقٍ لِاسْتِخْدَامِ اللُّغَةِ التُّرْكِيَّةِ بِوَعْيٍ وَثَبَاتٍ.
